General

Are boiling water taps eco-friendly?

Yes, kettle taps are eco-friendly because they use less energy than a plug in kettle. Energy is saved due to the general efficiency of the devices, but also because you only boil the exact amount of water you need – which is hard to estimate in a kettle.

Are boiling water taps better than kettles?

Boiling water taps are better than kettles because they use less energy, and they also provide hot water instantly. Water boilers are better than kettles because they use less energy, and they also provide hot water instantly. Kettles take time to boil leaving you waiting to make your daily cuppa.

How much electricity does a hot water tap use?

A typical instant hot water tap saves energy costs by using just 1 watt of power per hour. This means that a single hot water tap consumes less energy than a light bulb. It costs around 3p per day to run a kettle tap while boiling a typical kettle costs 2.5p per boil. This delivers a water temperature of between 75 – 99 degrees.

How many cups of tea or coffee will it make before reheating?

The 2.4 litre tank delivers 5 to 6 cups of boiling water before reheating. The 4 litre tank delivers over 10 cups at a time, which makes light work of tea rounds when friends and family are over.

How many colours are available?

Hanstrom designs come in 5 stunning colours; Gun Metal Grey, Matte Black, Brushed Gold, Brushed Antique Copper and Polished Chrome. Our range of taps and colours are sure to suit any kitchen.
